ILLUSTRATION FOR COMIC ART “THE ORIGINAL”

Set in Madrid, this online puppet-comedy comic series features three chaotic characters: Soleá la Dramática, a tone-deaf opera singer with a penchant for theatrics; Torito el Ex-Matador, a bullfighter who became a street poet after an incident; and La Cuerva, a mysterious but faceless narrator. They are on the never-ending chase for the mythical “Original”, the first play about Madrid, lost in 2010 after iPads and digital distractions caused a shift in how people since childhood engage with live theater.

This silly narrative game captures a wild day in the life of Nostril, an elephant living in Los Angeles, who decides to try his luck at a casting call for the role of his favorite superhero. However, the trip to CAA (Creative Animals Agency) turns into a true journey, as Nostril faces moral choices at a dysfunctional bus stop — decisions that will unexpectedly have a major impact on his career.
